The CHILDish website is currently down. We’re working hard and it will be up and running shortly.
Dad’s Day is just around the corner. I thought it would be fun to create a CHILDish Dad face that kids could colour, cut and glue together as a present for their Dad. The glasses are a bit tricky to cut for little hands, so make sure to help them out.
The CHILDish Dad craft is a three page PDF which includes a bald Dad face, selection of glasses and/or mustaches, and three hair styles to choose from. Have fun!
This Sunday, June 5 2011, CHILDish will be at Mommylicious A Trade Fair With Flair. I am excited because this is the first big trade show where I will be showing off my CHILDish products. (I also just bought the cutest dress at Joe Fresh and am excited to have a place to wear it).
Over the last few months I have met a wonderful group of local businesses run by busy moms. I am excited to meet even more of them at this event. Here are just a few companies you should stop by and say hi, you’ll be glad you did.
Wee Piggie and Paws custom-made shadow boxes and ornaments of children’s precious hands and feet.
Little Blossom sassy hair accessories handcrafted for little fashionistas.
Scrappy Mommy scrapbooks your pictures into full albums for you.
Rolling Grove Organics eco essentials for babies and young children.
Modern Mama mom-focused events in Edmonton, Calgary & Vancouver.
Mommy Connections offers a wide range of Pre & Post Natal programs.
Peanut Butter & Jam Playgroup is a parent cooperative playgroup where parents and caregivers can share a cup of coffee and chat about their experiences while their children play.
Don’t forget to stop by and say hi to me at my CHILDish booth. I will have a variety of personalized plates, bowls and lunchboxes for sale. Plate and bowl sets will be $40 (save $5), if you buy a lunchbox you’ll receive a free drink holder ($10 value). I’ll also have free colouring pages, crayons for the kids, and a door prize.
Today, CUPW’s gave notice that the union plans to begin strike activities at 11:59 p.m. EDT on June 2, 2011.
CHILDish will still operate as normal. Below are some tips to help us all ride out the strike.
• If you live in the US, the Canada Post strike will not effect you at all. CHILDish products are manufactured in the US and will be shipped directly to you through USPS or UPS.
• If you live in any other city in Canada, try to order as many like items as possible in one order. Larger orders will ship UPS or FEDEX as per usual.
• If you order one item, your order will still be shipped to you using UPS or FEDEX. At this time CHILDish shipping charges will not increase. If the strike lasts longer than 2 weeks, shipping costs for individual items will increase until the strike is over.
As usual you will receive a shipping notice once your item has shipped. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me.
I love to snack, especially on crunchy salty treats. I came across this veggie chip recipe and am excited to give them a try! I have a feeling the kids will enjoy them as much as I will.
I’ve teamed up with one of my favourite blogs, the rik rak studio, for a fun give away. There you will find little ideas, inspirations and goings on in the world of rikrak: mommying, handmaking, eco.living, design, encouragements, fun folks, how-to’s, giveaways and much much more.
Stop by the rik rak studio to enter the contest (ends May 13, 2011) and stay a while to see all the other fun posts.
