DIY Baby Wipes

I would be scared to add up the total yearly cost I spend on baby wipes! I have seen instructions all over the internet on how to make your own baby wipes. It seemed easy (and cheaper) so I gave it a try. It really is easy and they work wonderfully! I’ve included a YouTube how to video and recipe below.

Making your own baby wipes will not only save money, but you will know for sure that no harsh or drying chemicals are touching your baby’s bottom.

Difficulty: Easy
Time Required: 15 minutes
What You Need:
  • Round plastic container (Rubbermaid #6 or #9 works well)
  • Thick, strong roll of white paper towels
  • Sharp knife to cut paper towel roll in half
  • 2 cups water that has been boiled and cooled to room temperature
  • 2 Tablespoons baby shampoo or baby wash
  • 1 Tablespoon baby oil
Here’s How:
  1. Cut the roll of paper towels in half with a knife and remove the inner cardboard core.
  2. Mix liquid ingredients in container.
  3. Place the paper towels in the container with the cut side facing downward.
  4. Secure lid tightly and allow to sit until all liquid is absorbed into the paper towels.
  5. Turn the container upside-down and allow to sit for 10 minutes.
  6. Open container and ‘start’ the roll by pulling a towel from the inside of the roll.
  7. Wipes are now ready to use.

Land of Nod Cinnamon Buns

I will be making these Cinnamon Buns on Easter morning. They are the easiest and best tasting cinnamon buns you will ever make. Trust me, make them and your family will love you for it.

Land of Nod Cinnamon Buns

Who would think you could be this organized so early in the a.m.!!

20 frozen dough rolls (or 1 frozen bread loaf, thawed (approx. 1 hour) until sliceable and cut into 12 pieces

1 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup vanilla instant pudding

1-2 Tbsp. cinnamon

3/4 cup raisins (optional)

1/4-1/2 cup melted butter

Before you put the cat out and turn off the lights, grease a 10″ bundt pan and add frozen rolls. Sprinkle with brown sugar, pudding powder, cinnamon and raisins. Pour melted butter over all. Cover with a clean, damp cloth. (leave out at room temperature). Turn out the lights and say goodnight!

In the morning, preheat oven to 350 F. and bake for 25 minutes. Let sit for 5 minutes and then turn out on a serving plate. Now, aren’t you clever?

Easter Tic Tac Toe

I taught my daughter how to play Tic Tac Toe the other day. It was a reminder that simple games are sometimes the best. I made this Easter Tic Tac Toe for my children and thought I would share it with you. Print the colour version for instant fun, or let your children colour in the black and white version. Each file includes 2 pages. Enjoy!

When you’re done with this game, make sure to print off your free CHILDish face colouring pages and matching bunny ears.
